1945 (Sunday) – Attended teachers prayer meeting. I gave the lesson in class. After Sunday School we held a genealogical meeting in which Brother Birch was mouth in a prayer offered for Sister Tronn, who is very ill in California. Evening – Attended Sacrament meeting. Bishop Nicholas G. Smith was the speaker, he eulogized the memory of President Grant (Heber Jeddy Grant), telling many human stories about him. It was also graduating time for the primary children and each graduate gave a little talk, there was also a talk by a member of the lesser priesthood, Eddie Robins, it was splendid.
