1946 (Sunday) – Dad (Alfred Oscar Lunt) and I went down to Nephi to attend the funeral of Will Burton (William Pass Burton). There was a large crowd at the home and the services and they had some beautiful flowers. Will looked good but very thin. He weighed only seventy-five lbs. before he died, but he suffered no pain, although it was cancer.

We saw a lot of people we hadn’t seen for a long time. The services were fine. Good speakers and musical numbers. Before they were over, a blizzard, from the north, came up and we had quite a miserable time getting home. A utility bus bumped into our card and ruined the back fender.

We were both very thankful when we arrived home about 7:40 p.m.
