1947 (Tuesday) – Yesterday and today I have been writing very hard, washed the curtains in the back part of the house and ironed, cleaned the windows, scrubbed the front porch, etc. I was already to go to the hospital when Port (Porty Lewis Gabbitas) and Della (Della Lunt) came in, so I took care of Teddy (Ted Lunt Gabbitas) while they went up to see Eva (Eva Ruth Lunt), then Della went to the dentist and he dug into one of the places where there had been a tooth removed and she said “he almost murdered her”. He pecked it with something. She was all upset, she had suffered so. Chip (Gordon Lewis Gabbitas) also came in with them. Judy (Judith Ann Gabbitas) and Larry (Larry Lunt Gabbitas) stayed at home.
