Journal: Jeanette Sperry

1947 (Tuesday) – Ironed, worked for more than an hour weeding in the east garden, planted some sunflowers seeds by the wall. Afternoon – Attended Relief Society. It is the last time Ilene Bagley will be our teacher, she is moving out by Bountiful. She had four members of the class give some stories of their ancestors: Sister Bryner; Clara Woodbury; Sister Williams and Sister McLlellen. A group of six dressed in Pioneer costumes sang several songs. Esther (Emily Esther Sperry) was their accompanist.

It was all very interesting. It was after four o’clock before we got through, there were still two more stories to be told but the last two backed out because it was too late.
