Journal: Jeanette Sperry

1947 (Thursday) – I finished my upstairs cleaning. Afternoon – Sister Spitzbardt and I went, called at a few of the homes. Everyone treated us nicely and seemed pleased to see us. Some of course were not at home and another call will have to be made. Evening – We called at some of the apartments in the Alberta Apartments. No. 1 was home, but she had some of her folks who were only going to be there for a few minutes so we did not go in. We called at apt. 4, a young girl was living alone. She is from Ohio. Said her health wasn’t very good, so she came out west to live. She has been to some our organ recitals and read about our Centennial. We discussed some of the fundamentals of our religion and invited her to attend our meetings. Sister Spitzbardt invited her to come to her place 8:30 Sunday morning and go to church with her. Her name is Noble. We then visited apt. 6 and talked with Jeanette Dimmick for quite awhile. Told her of the girl downstairs and suggested she become acquainted with her.

We then visited apt. 7. I failed to get her name. She is an artist and her room was filled with lovely paintings which she was preparing to put on an exhibit, we talked to her for quite awhile. Then we came home.
