Journal: Jeanette Sperry

1947 (Monday) – Washed, weeded the garden, mended and typed. After dinner, I visited six homes as a Relief Teacher, had to go alone. Met some new people, a young couple recently from England, Gettins is the name, they were very pleasant. I love to listen to English talkers, they are living where Sister Starke was living. She and her husband having purchased a new home in the South East part of the City. I also visited Edna (Edna Viola Nelson). My Husband (Alfred Oscar Lunt) had to go up to the police station to school and take a test, it was quite an experience for him.
