1947 (Monday) – This morning we washed. I received a lovely letter from Bess Kasten, also one from Eva (Eva Ruth Lunt). I’m very tired this evening. Had to go to town, several places, did quite a bit of walking. Oscar’s (Alfred Oscar Lunt) feeling quite a bit better. Sister Spitzbardt brought him a nice dish of Jello topped with whipped cream and also some cookies.
