1947 (Friday) – I slept quite well last night. In the afternoon Dr. White came and found there were no bones broken, it seemed to have bled inwardly and he said if it didn’t clear up in a week or ten days he would have to open it up and clear out the clot.
Sister Spitzbardt came over and brought us some fruit and vegetables which she had brought in from the farm. Edna (Edna Viola Nelson) brought me a pretty bouquet from her garden. She and Earl (Earl Sperry Lunt) have gone down to Pleasant Grove for the weekend. Sister Erekson came over to see me, they all are full of sympathy for me.
Uncle Edgar (John Edgar Lunt) was in Salt Lake and he came down to see us. Was quite shocked to hear about my accident. He brought us some corn from his garden. He and Earl administered to me.
