1947 (Sunday) – I am feeling some better, though my leg is still so sore. I can scarcely touch it. Still, I am beginning to walk a little better. Lillian (Lillian Lunt) went to Sunday School. Esther (Emily Esther Sperry) came up with her to see how I felt.
In the afternoon, Neph (Nephi Howarth) and Della Howarth (Carrie Adella Shaw) came to see us. They felt sorry to learn of our troubles, but was surely glad they had come here. We were surely glad to see them.
Later, Brother and Sister Bowen came in. Their daughter was out on the porch and witnessed my accident. I gave them a report of me genealogical visits to give to Brother Tronn. After dinner Art (Arthur David Sperry) and Gertrude (Gertrude Barton) came to see us. They stayed for quite awhile and then after Dad (Alfred Oscar Lunt) had gone to bed, Brother Beard came to see us. Dad wasn’t asleep, so he visited awhile with him. Before he left, Earl (Earl Sperry Lunt) and Edna (Edna Viola Nelson) came in. They had just returned from Pleasant Grove. They brought us eggs, butter cucumbers and apples. We all talked for quite awhile, then Brother Beard left and Earl and Edna went home. Lillian was over to the Tabernacle to an Oriterio.
