1947 (Sunday) – Lillian (Lillian Lunt) attended Sunday School and in the evening she and I went to Sacrament Meeting. It was a farewell for Orma Peterson. It was the first time we had left Dad (Alfred Oscar Lunt) alone and he became quite perturbed as the meeting was so long and he hadn’t had dinner. It was a lovely program. There was a large group of singers rendered several pieces and Brother Peterson, the father, sang two numbers (I never heard him sing so lovely). Brother Myers was the first speaker and President McKay was the main speaker of the evening. There was a few words by the Bishop and closing remarks by Orma. It was certainly a treat to be there.
