Journal: Jeanette Sperry

1947 (Monday) – Lillian (Lillian Lunt) was busy all day bottling grape juice and making jelly. I washed the dirty bottles, dug up from the cellar and kept busy most of the day. At eleven o’clock pm, after we had gone to bed, the telephone rang. Both Lillian and I hurried to answer it, she reached it first. It was Carl Hunter (Carl Hatch Hunter), Lillian’s son-in-law. He told her that Willard (Willard Eby Snader) had passed away in the Boise hospital at 4:30 that afternoon.
