Journal: Jeanette Sperry

1947 (Thursday) – About noon, Mrs. Broughton Lunt (Mary Amanda Mortenson) of Duncan, Arizona called. Also her sons and two children, his wife was shopping. They just returned from a trip to Yellowstone Park. While I showed records to her, her son talked with Lillian (Lillian Lunt), telling how he was attached to General McArthur’s Division as a mechanic and had travelled all over the Islands with him.

Before Sister Lunt left, she handed me a fifty dollar bill to put into the Genealogical Office for research work. After Lunch, I went up to the library, deposited the money to Cloe H. Lunt’s (Chloe Haws) account, talked to the researcher, Ruth Davis, we are going to cooperate in the research work here. I checked for an hour or two on early records from Staffordshire.
