Read More Journal: Jeanette Sperry1897 (Saturday) – Father (Charles Henry Sperry) and I went up town to play to a theater, before going there I went up to Burton’s. After the show was out Father collected to pay and Oscar Lunt (Alfred Oscar Lunt) took me home to Burton’s where I stayed all night.

Read More Journal: Jeanette Sperry1897 (Thursday) – Father (Charles Henry Sperry) and I went up town to a dance in the Opera House, returning home afterwards. Mr. Burton (Enoch Burton) came home from the city, but Mrs. Burton (Frances Haddy Betenson) remained there for a longer visit.
Read More Journal: Jeanette Sperry1897 (Wednesday) – Towards evening Melvin (Henry Melvin Sperry), Rettie (Retta Sperry) and Della (Emma Della Sperry) and myself went up town. I went to Foote’s and took my shorthand lesson. I went up to Burton’s and stayed until the children came up for me then we all went out home.
