1904 (Thursday) – Oscar (Alfred Oscar Lunt) took me down to the sanatorium, we obtained suits and went in the large plunge for a swim, he could swim, but not me, he floated me around a bit and then I had to play in the shallow part while he did the swimming. We were in for about an hour. Then we went to a Japanese restaurant and had dinner. I returned to the house alone and later Mother (Caroline Webb) and I went up to Mrs. Barton’s at 280 I Street. We remained there until about ten-thirty.
