1947 (Sunday) – Attended Sunday School. Oh, it has been hot the last three days, on Friday it reached 91. This afternoon, I went to sleep and slept so sound for about two hours. I now feel perfectly stupid.
Evening – Attended Sacrament Meeting. It was for the lesser priesthood. Some boys were given certificates of merit. They had the boys come up on the stand and then told them, though they did not know, they were to be the speakers for the evening. It was all quite interesting, as each boy finished their little talk, they were presented with a gardenia to take home and pin on the mothers. The Stake President was there to present the awards.
