1947 (Monday) – I did a big washing today so was very tired by noon, had a nap and then went up to the hospital. Oscar (Alfred Oscar Lunt) is looking much better and feels pretty good, they let sit up whenever he wants to. I imagine they will be sending him home soon.

It has been quite cool the last few days and nights, although the sun shines in the daytime.

On Tuesday evening I phoned Lillian (Lillian Lunt) in Oregon to see if she could come down as we can get Father home as soon as I have someone to help me.

After going to sleep on Wednesday evening, but before falling off to sleep, I heard someone calling “Mother”. It was Lillian, she had come immediately.

Thursday – I phoned the Dr. and he said we could bring Dad home on the fourth of July. I went up to the hospital to complete arrangements to have him moved and about eleven o’clock an ambulance from the Salt Lake Transportation Company came and brought him home. I rode in with him. My first trip in an ambulance.

He seemed glad to be home, he sure keeps me busy waiting on him.

Dad is quite restless at night, which makes it very hard on me as I am use to sleeping all through the night.
