1947 (Friday) – Willard (Willard Eby Snader) was buried today in Ontario, Oregon. We received a letter from Lillian (Lillian Lunt) giving us the details. We also received one from Alfred (Alfred Oscar Lunt, Jr.) and Mary (Mary Etta George) with a check for one thousand and fifty dollars. Alfred sold his car and kept ours and that was the check to pay for ours.
I called a cab and went to town, deposited five hundred in the Deseret Federal Bank and five hundred in the Zions Bank, kept fifty for expenses, and they are certainly plenty these days.
Eva (Eva Ruth Lunt) went out to Holman’s for dinner and to spend the night.
