1947 (Wednesday) – I had to go to town, finished paying for our twin beds, went to the Paris and while there, saw a lovely quilt, not down, but filled with a soft wool, blue satin. It is for Oscar’s (Alfred Oscar Lunt) bed. I made a deposit and had it laid away for me. Called at the Genealogical Society and at the grocery market. My parcel was so heavy I thought I would never get home. I was certainly tired afterwards.
