Journal: Jeanette Sperry

1947 (Friday) – Lillian (Lillian Lunt) again spent the afternoon at Earl’s (Earl Sperry Lunt). Afternoon – I went up to see my doctor. He thinks my leg is a little too long in recovering, also my blood pressure was up again. In the evening Karl (Karl Farnsworth), Esther (Emily Esther Sperry) and I went out to the mortuary on Seventh South (Deseret) to the funeral of Sister Etta Pyper. She looked lovely, 95 years old. There were a lot of beautiful floral pieces, the program, music, etc. All was splendid, but I believe the best of all was the meeting of so many people I used to know and haven’t seen for years. I felt good for having been there.
