1947 (Wednesday) – Did some weeding in the garden. Started housecleaning upstairs by cleaning a big box and putting away a lot of grass skirts, etc. of Arthur’s (Arthur David Sperry) and which Earl (Earl Sperry Lunt) had used as decorations, etc. Just preliminary work.
It’s so hard for me to have to do all the work in housecleaning, so I have to take it in easy stages. Today, Thursday, I cleaned about half of Earl’s room, we have to carry all the water up there and that is about as hard as the cleaning. Was quite tired by suppertime.
Evening – Esther (Emily Esther Sperry) and I and Sister Erekson went over to the Tabernacle to see the pageant “The Message of The Ages”. It was the most wonderful pageant I have ever seen, all who can, should see it. They had two very good readers, men, there was a lovely spirit accompanying it, the music, singing, everything was very impressive. It lasted about three hours.
