1897 (Sunday) – Home all day.

1897 (Saturday) – Home all day. Ed Shephard came over from Mona and brought his little brother for a violin lesson.

 1897 (Friday) – I went down to Grandma Sperry’s (Emily Louisa Miller) and then down town. I called at the tithing office and paid my tithing, which was one dollar. I went over to Hyde’s Store and then to the Excelsior, back to Grandma’s and then down home. Evening I wrote to Will Tolley.

1897 (Thursday) – In the afternoon I walked up town and went up to Burton’s. In the evening I went down to Foote’s for a lesson in shorthand. 1897 (Tuesday) – In the evening I went up to choir practice.

1897 (Monday) – I wrote a letter to May Reid. In the afternoon Mrs. Burton (Frances Haddy Betenson) and I went down to the post office. In the evening I went to a dance in the Opera House. We had us a lovely time. I came out home after the dance.
